Do you remember how you always were in awe of Jim Morrison of the Doors? How Sunny and you had decided that when you complete your Law both of you will go to Paris to do ?pilgrimage? by visiting Morrison?s grave? That was never to be?
I recently read something his closest friend Manzarek wrote while remembering him. When Manzarek told him that he was likely to live till 78, Jim Morrison told him,
?No, not me, man. I?ll never make it that far. I see myself as a shooting star, like when you?re out at night and you see one exploading across the sky and then it goes out.?
I wonder if you saw yourself as a shooting star too. Yes, a shooting star but not the one that goes out. You are a shooting star that never goes out. Someone who blazes across my skies with such brilliance, filling my life with awe and wonder and then disappearing from my sight to explore and light up other skies?
No, that too is not the truth. You light up my life every moment. And so you blaze across many skies all the time and your brilliance doesn?t diminish at all.
